An evening focusing on Bipolar Disorder
February 24th, 6:30-8:30pm
UBC Robson Square: 800 Robson Street, Vancouver
Featuring talks from CREST.BD members: Mark Lau (Psychologist), Rosalind Irving (Family Therapist), Victoria Maxwell (Actress and Mental Health Educator, and Erin Michalak (Psychologist).
The evening will also include:
Information & resource tables hosted by Canadian Mental Health Association, Coast Mental Health, Kettle Friendships Society and the BC Mood Disorders Association
Opportunities to learn about new research in BD and learn about current studies
A networking reception with additional CREST.BD team members with refreshments provided

Power in Process - CTRA Conference 2011
Lisa Woods (CMHAVB Recreation Coordinator, BC Housing Program) has been co-chairing the (Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association) CTRA 2011 conference planning committee for the past year and a half.
This year’s conference (15th Annual) is being hosted by the (British Columbia Therapeutic Recreation Association) BCTRA in Whistler! May 25th to 27th, 2011. For more information about the conference program and registration http://www.bctra.org/ctra_conference_2011
We are also pleased to point out that Kristina Dixon (InCREDable program Coordinator) will be presenting “Road to Resiliency: Recreation-Based Programming as an Intervention for Children and Youth Who Have a Parent with a Mental Illness” at the conference.
Congratulations to both of you for the time and effort you have put into making this a go-to event!
